About Us

The One Village Music Project is a youth-led music project Of the Amala Foundation.  Each year, the one village music Project unites 30+ youth who have attended the Global Youth Peace Summit to create music inspired by the Summit experience.

90% of the youth who participate in the One Village Music Project receive a full scholarship in Order to Do So.  This project is funded by people like you as well as the city of Austin Economic Development Department's Music & Entertainment Division.  Every purchase of this album makes another year of the One Village Music Project possible, as do individual contributions.

The One Village Music Project partners with Fuel Our Fire, a Non-profit created by Phoebe and Stephanie Hunt to offer content creation highlighting humanity from all walks of life. The One Village Music project offers young musicians from all over the world the opportunity to showcase their talents and collaborate in a professional environment.

The young musicians of the One village music project, including refugee, immigrant, and at-risk youth, create a unique blend of alternative, folk, hip-hop, Singer/song-writer and world music.

The 4th Annual One Village Music Project just took place August 5th-12th, 2016.  The album was recorded at Blue Rock studios.

This year's One Village Music Project was sponsored by the City of Austin Economic Development Department’s Music & Entertainment Division.  Big gratitude for the City of Austin for all of their support as well as Blue Rock STudios and the Loralee Foundation.
